Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior and Principal Safety Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Functie

  • Lead the Safety Engineering Management, including the development and implementation of safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance and ensure regulatory compliance with International and European rules and regulations related to Safety Engineering.
  • Lead the team of specialists and engineers to deliver high-quality safety engineering services on large-scale projects.
  • Conduct Process Safety Studies such as HAZID (Hazard Identification), HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), and other relevant assessments.
  • Perform Consequence Assessments, including dispersion modeling, QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment), and fire and explosion studies.
  • Have a strong understanding of Hazardous Area Classification and apply the necessary classification standards.
  • Demonstrate lead engineering capabilities for complex multi-office projects, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety engineering requirements into the overall project design and execution.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in safety engineering, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Proven Process Safety knowledge and experience.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated lead engineering capabilities for complex multi-office projects.
  • EPC(m) project experience (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management).
  • Familiarity with International and European rules and regulations related to Safety Engineering.
  • Significant technical experience and skills in leading engineering capabilities on large projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Process Safety Studies (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP).
  • Proficiency in performing Consequence Assessments, including dispersion modeling, QRA, and fire and explosion studies.
  • Strong understanding and expertise in Hazardous Area Classification.
  • Familiarity with relevant international and European rules and regulations related to Safety Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
