The Offshore Pipeline & Subsea team provides engineering and design support for a wide range of offshore developments. The team is responsible for the design and delivery of offshore pipeline systems, subsea infrastructure and installation solutions for both FEED and detailed engineering projects.
Working closely with pipeline engineers, subsea specialists, structural engineers and project delivery teams, the department develops routing layouts, installation drawings, subsea tie-ins, crossing designs and 3D models that support the successful execution of offshore projects.

We are looking for an Offshore Pipeline Designer to support the development and delivery of offshore pipeline and subsea design projects. In this position, you will create high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models for FEED, detailed engineering, installation and operational support activities.
You will work closely with engineering disciplines to translate design requirements into practical offshore pipeline solutions while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop offshore pipeline routing drawings, alignment sheets and installation drawings.
- Produce 2D and 3D design deliverables for offshore pipeline systems and subsea infrastructure.
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, pipeline crossings, tie-ins, riser interfaces and subsea structure drawings.
- Support seabed routing and corridor development activities.
- Incorporate survey, geotechnical and installation data into design deliverables.
- Work closely with pipeline engineers to convert engineering calculations into practical design solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, HAZID and HAZOP workshops.Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation and drawing registers.
- Support client meetings and technical reviews where required
- Ensure designs comply with company procedures and relevant industry standards.
- Promote safe and efficient design practices throughout project execution.
Wat heb je nodig
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in offshore pipeline or subsea design.
- Experience supporting FEED and detailed engineering projects.
- Familiarity with offshore pipeline systems, subsea structures, risers and installation methodologies.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary offshore engineering environments.
- Experience within offshore oil & gas, carbon capture, hydrogen or offshore energy projects is advantageous.
- AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is highly desirable).
- Experience with 3D modelling software.
- Understanding of offshore pipeline routing and installation principles.
- Knowledge of subsea developments, pipeline crossings and tie-in design.
- Familiarity with GIS or route development tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of international standards such as DNV, API and ISO.
- Strong attention to detail.
